Congcong is a Data Scientist who joined the 2OS team full-time in March 2024. In the past, he has worked on conducting research to compare the XGBoost model and the EBM (Explainable Boosting Machine) model. He also gained experience in building credit risk models and developing code to help maintain the company’s modeling pipeline.

Congcong has a Master’s degree in Economics and Computation from Duke University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. Some of the innovative projects under his belt include building a mathematical model to characterize people’s procrastination, training neural networks to detect AI-generated images, and developing a time series model to predict stock price volatility via search indexes.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending his free time playing mobile games like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail. He is also a big fan of learning different variants of Chinese and English, such as Cantonese, Shanghainese, and Singlish.
