Elizabeth is a Senior Data Scientist, joining the 2OS team this summer in July 2022. She is eager to combine her Computer Science, Math and Economics background to provide data-driven solutions for a variety of clients. Although Elizabeth recently joined the team, she has worked on developing fraud detection models during her graduate studies and is eager to participate in projects involving statistical modeling and fraud.

Originally from the Dominican Republic, Elizabeth moved to the US for her undergraduate studies at the University of Richmond, where she majored in Mathematical Economics. Most recently, she completed a M.S. in Computational Operations Research at the College of William and Mary. She has always been fascinated by the intersection of data science and the financial industry, developing Value-at-Risk models for student-managed portfolios and, more recently, creating a fraud-detection tool for real-time transaction data. Last summer, she was a Data Analyst at Capital One where she expanded her knowledge of the credit card industry.

In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys spending time outdoors and running with her Australian Shepherd. She also enjoys weightlifting, salsa dancing, road tripping and traveling to the Dominican Republic (with her dog!) to see her family.
