Mara is an Associate Principal at 2nd Order Solutions, with expertise in risk management, underwriting, and structured products. While at 2OS, she has worked on all stages of the credit cycle, including customer acquisition, management, and collections. She has worked on several due diligence reviews, which cover all aspects of credit risk.

Prior to joining 2OS, she was a Principal at Bates White Economic Consulting, where she supported testifying experts, provided consulting support, performed statistical analyses, and led teams that reviewed and analyzed large, complex data sets in various matters. She focused extensively on projects involving mortgages and residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) and related CDOs and Credit-Default Swaps. Her work included projects in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry, including projects involving Medicare and Medicaid, third-party health plans, and medical device manufacturers. Mara has a BA in Anthropology and an MA in Economics from Miami University and now lives in Falls Church, Virginia.

Outside of work, Mara spends a lot of her time at her children’s activities, generally watching lots of soccer and cross-country running. She is also an avid DC United supporter, a long-time runner, and enjoys reading science fiction and fantasy.
